Book Power: A Platform for Writing...Publishing

  The Book on PPM's

The Book on PPM'sRegulation D Rule 506

Dear sallie,

"I'm 30 years into being a loser."

My heart sank; she had given up on herself and her working situation. Her words and tone conveyed my fear. Have you ever felt or seen someone you know go through this?

We all wear "different hats". Some days we feel better about ourselves than others, more positive - less negative or visa versa. But what shape or color is the hat you wear when you say you are a "loser"? I have an image of a tall hat, gray or black with a wide brim from which to hide your eyes.

So let me ask this, "How much does this hat weigh? How heavy does it sit on your head and does it radiate tension down through your neck and shoulders?" Do you realize how much power you have given it, this vessel? It holds all the negative thoughts you believe about yourself.

I am firm when I say, "NO ONE IS A LOSER." Not anyone. We all have a gift, we're all different, we all have a talent, but it's up to each of us to identify or discover what that is and keep moving forward.

So I ask each of you (if you are wearing a hat) to take it off, mess up your hair, give your head a good shake and write down what you have loved in the past...(no one needs to see this, just you), what did you use to connect with...think hard. It will come. Changing a mindset is not going to happen overnight, but it can begin the process.

Let's use this hat for collecting your positive self. Remember START WHERE YOU STAND, ONE TINY STEP AT A TIME.
