Going Live
Dear Sallie,

SALLIE'S STORY:

"GOT NOTHING!"

Have you ever found your brain blank, void of creativity and inspiration? Have you ever felt yourself so spent, so tired that when you were ask, "What have you got for the newsletter for this Wednesday?" your knee jerk reaction was... "got nothing". That's where I am right now. So how does that sit with me...not great, but I have learned one thing; I am not going to beat myself over the head and think, "you may be letting people down, you have to come up with something tantalizing, you didn't commit to the deadline as promised, you should do x,y,z,". Part of me is being authentic when I say I have been drained these past two or three weeks. Between caring for a daughter recovering from surgery and opening up a house for summer renters with my sisters, I am emotionally and physically just plain tired. No I did not get "tips" out or have an unusual quote, but I am giving myself a "hall pass" and allowing myself to take a deep breath, sit back and smell the flowers (which have exploded in my garden).

This is an exceptionally busy time for people with graduations, weddings, and parties of all sorts...There are only so many hours in the day. What are your priorities and what can you delegate or say "No" to?

Can you remove the "can do all" armor and begin to feel the air on your skin? We can't do everything, but some surely try...(at what expense to themselves and others?)

Accept where you are at any given point and know that tomorrow will bring a new day with a renewed sense of self.
